St. Joseph’s College of Commerce is an autonomous private Commerce- college located at Ashok Nagar in central Bangalore, Karnataka. The college was formerly a part of St. Joseph College and the Department of the Commerce was established in the same parent college. In 1972, the department became an independent college by getting its name as St. Joseph College of Commerce. The college became an autonomous institution in the year 2004, and now the college has its own independent examination and recognition system.

SJCC is affiliated to Bangalore University, recognized by UGC, and accredited by NAAC. St. Joseph College of Commerce has been recognized as a “College with Potential for Excellence” by UGC in recent years because of developing structure and systems for constant improvement in the overall performance of the college.

SJCC is managed and administered by the Jesuits, a worldwide Catholic community with a special focus on education. SJCC Bangalore is also recognized as a research centre by the Bangalore University. As the name suggests, the college mainly offers commerce courses at UG and PG level. In addition to these, the college also offers management courses at UG level, Postgraduate Diploma, CMA along with B.Com.

Saint Joseph College of Commerce has tie-ups with renowned universities of the world like Swansea University, Wales UK, Kobe College Japan, ESDES France, Concordia University, America, EIT New Zealand, etc. These collaborations provide an opportunity for the students of SJCC to study abroad and expand their horizons at a global level.

St. Joseph’s College of Commerce draws inspiration from its motto- Fide et Labore which means “Faith and Toil”.
