NEET 2022 Highlights

NEET 2022 National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2022 for admission to undergraduate medical education. NEET is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). 

The admission to the MBBS course in AIIMS, New Delhi, JIPMER, and all AIIMS like Institutions will also be made through NEET. Candidate’s eligibility for NEET (UG) – 2022 is purely provisional and is subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria prescribed by the Conducting body. What is NEET? 

NEET Stands for National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test, which is a national level medical entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission into premium medical institutions in India. Candidates willing to get admission into courses such as MBBS, BDS, AYUSH are required to appear for the Exam.

NEET 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The Medical Council of India (MCI) had specified the eligibility criteria for NEET 2022. Candidates who are willing to apply for the exam must read NEET 2021 eligibility requirements before filling out their applications. The points are given below to summarize the eligibility requirements for NTA NEET 2022.

  • There is no upper age limit for candidates appearing for NTA NEET 2022. However, an applicant must have been at least 17 yearsas on December 31, 2021.
  • The applicant must have completed Class 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized institute. 
  • Candidates must have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English individually in the qualifying examination
  • Candidates who belong to the general category must secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in the qualifying examination.
  • Candidates who belong to the SC/ST category must secure a minimum aggregate of 40% in the qualifying examination.
  • Applicants who belong to the PwD category must secure a minimum aggregate of 45 percent in the qualifying examination.
